The "Big Eye" is a 46ft custom Carolina boat built specifically for Charter Fishing by      Sheldon Midgett of Wanchese, N.C. The "Big Eye" is a very comfortable rough water
     boat. She is equipped with modern electronics including a powerful color fish finder,      loran, GPS plotter, and a sea water temp. gauge. She has a very large cockpit with a
     130 lb. tuna chair located in the center of attention. She has two smaller sailfish      chairs, bait box, ice box, and a built in insulated fish box to finish out her fishing      platform.

     The "BIG EYE" operates out of Hatteras Harbor Marina in Hatteras Village; a quaint      fishing village with small shops , great seafood restaurants, motels, and a couple of
     bed & breakfasts. You will find the sandy beaches beautiful and uncrowded .

     This is a great place to fish inshore as well as offshore. The gulfstream current      collides with the Labrador current to the north thus creating a unique set of fishing      conditions that is constantly changing. These conditions provided a haven the for      baitfish which in turn attract the game fish.

     Tackle is provided with rates from 20lbs to 130lbs. However, you can use your own      tackle if you choose. We can customize your trip to meet your own special desire and      needs.
